Lunumiris is a spicy Sri Lankan sambal paste mostly served for breakfast as a side dish. It’s the most famous spicy dish in Sri Lanka. Every Sri Lankan family knows how to prepare it.
When to eat
Mostly eat for breakfast with milk rice. But can be matched with Hoppers, bread, and coconut roti for dinner.
- 5 dry chilies
- 2 big onions
- 1/2 lime
- Salt to taste

First, you need to Grind 5 dry chilies. Then, chop Big onions into small pieces and mix them with grind dry chilies. Now add salt to taste and 1/2 lime juice. Finally, mix them all together. That’s all. Now you have spicy Lunumiris ready to eat.
